Privacy Policy

Private launch legal draft — subject to final review

QuicFlics ("QuicFlics", "we", "us") operates a video-first B2B discovery platform from Australia. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English for our private launch and is aligned with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the platform, including:

  • Early access sign-ups: email address and the interest type you select (buyer, brand or partner).
  • Account registration: name, email, password (stored hashed via our authentication provider), and account role.
  • Brand / buyer profile: company name, country, categories, logo, contact details, and any other information you choose to add to your profile.
  • Catalogue and request activity: products you save, reseller / wholesale requests you send, catalogue downloads, and messages exchanged through the platform.
  • Campaign and promotion requests: details you submit when requesting placements or Promote & Grow campaigns.
  • Platform usage data: log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and basic analytics events used to keep the platform reliable and improve it over time.

2. How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • provide and operate the platform, including authentication and account access;
  • review brand and buyer applications and approve access;
  • facilitate reseller requests, catalogue access and campaign placements;
  • send service emails (confirmations, password resets, request updates);
  • send product updates and early-access announcements where you have opted in;
  • monitor, debug and improve the platform; and
  • meet legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Service providers

We rely on trusted service providers to deliver the platform. These currently include hosting and database providers, our authentication provider, and our transactional email provider. These providers process personal information on our behalf under contractual obligations to keep it secure and only use it for the services we have engaged them for.

4. International storage and processing

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia (for example in the United States or the European Union). Where this happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

5. Email communications and unsubscribe

Service emails (such as password resets and request status) are required to operate the platform. Marketing and product update emails are sent only where you have opted in, for example by joining the early-access list. You can unsubscribe at any time by following the link in any marketing email or by writing to hello@quicflics.com.

6. Access, correction and deletion

You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account and associated data. Email hello@quicflics.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate business records.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access controls and row-level security on our database. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your information seriously.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent change.
